The great British berry is in full swing come July. Whether jumbled into jam for the colder months ahead or scattered generously over a pavlova, there’s no shortage of variety at the height of summer. It’s a month defined by abundance and a real sense of excitement.

JUST IN: aubergine, beetroot, bilberries, blackberries, blackcurrants, blueberries, broccoli, celery, fennel, french beans, greengages, peppers, red cabbage, redcurrants, runner beans, white cabbage

STAYING IN SEASON: apricots, broad beans, carrots, chard, chervil, cherries, chillies, cucumber, fennel, field rhubarb, garlic, globe artichoke, hispi cabbage, mangetout, new potatoes, peaches, peas, radishes, raspberries, samphire, sorrel, spinach, strawberries, summer squash, tenderstem broccoli, turnips, watercress

LAST MONTH TO ENJOY: elderflower, gooseberries, lettuce
